2004 Spanish Fork, UT Crop Circle

If you’ve ever driven down Highway 189 between Spanish Fork and Salem, Utah, you know that there’s not a whole lot to see except open farm land and an occasional business. But that was all to change on the night of June 6th, 2004.

When I heard the news on the way into work Monday morning, I couldn’t wait to get together with Bonny to find out what we could see of the event—a crop circle in Utah County—the first, ever! Like so many you see on the Internet that look “human made,” I wanted to know if this one in our own back yard was real or a hoax. As we got together that afternoon for lunch, we drove by, but could see very little from the road. Fortunately for us, and every other UFO enthusiast around the area, there was a good-sized hill overlooking the site that was accessible by car, a paved road leading right up to top. As we stood outside of the car looking down into the farm acreage across the highway, a young boy approached us selling photos (someone had already had the entrepreneurial foresight to hire a plane or helicopter and be onsite selling aerial photos for $5 a pop).

It was not a particularly elaborate crop circle when compared to ones that we’re used to seeing with all the impressive geometric patterns integrated into the whole, no this one was fairly plain and not necessarily done with much finesse, some of the lines weren’t even straight; in fact, it looked a little amateurish at first glance. It consisted of what looked like four hollow circles, the largest in the middle, with three smaller circles, two close together and one separated, on the outside of the larger one connected to the center by heavy lines. One of the three outside circles had what appeared to be short beams emanating from it like light rays. This is how the photograph appeared to me; until I happened to turn it upside down (it had a title printed at the bottom which read, “Spanish Fork Crop Circle, June 2004,” indicating right-side up).

What a difference that made! Now, the shadows that had formed what originally looked to me like hollow circles were reversed and instead formed what had the appearance of solid spheres, each a slightly different size, with a sort of ring, or perhaps radiant glow, surrounding it. With this new perspective, the sphere in the center of it all, which was similar in size, had a ring that was huge, and much thicker, in comparison to the others. It literally took me aback to see the dramatic change from hollow circles to solid spheres; it almost had the look of a small planetary system.

1961 Barney & Betty Hill Abduction

What’s your first impulse when you hear a story of someone being abducted by aliens?

Whether it was reported just yesterday or 50 years ago, the reaction will most likely be the same; you find your eyes rolling up under your eyelids while a slight smirk forms unconsciously on your lips and you think to yourself, “Right!” Even if you believe in UFOs and have followed every story of “close encounters” your entire life, you just can’t help being skeptical, can you?

Alien abductions are the stuff of the mentally ill or, at the very least, overactive imaginations, right? Those were my thoughts until Bonny and I finally decided to look into the phenomenon through the use of our Mind Travel techniques, and what we discovered dramatically changed the way I think of aliens and little green men (mostly because the beings she saw were not little, nor were they green, and for all she could tell they weren’t necessarily men!).

1897 UFO Crash at Aurora, TX

When the average person thinks of the UFO phenomenon, two things almost assuredly pop into mind; first, of course, aliens (little-green men) in flying saucers visiting our planet from some pinpoint of light in a distant galaxy, and second, the ever-growing suspicion that our very own military and government have, and still are to this day, doing all in their misguided power to keep from us, through false reports and misinformation, the truth about these visitors from other worlds and the technologies gained from their misfortunate crash landings as they enter the earth's atmosphere.

As cynical as it may sound, these two beliefs just seem to naturally go hand-in-hand, don't they? And it's been true for most of the last 60+ years since the days of the Roswell, NM, incident in 1947. But what if I told you that there was a well-documented incident that happened long before all the Roswell hype involved the military, and therefore the possibility of any sort of cover-up, clear back at the turn of the 19th Century, a "smoking gun" from 1897? It reportedly happened in the suburb of Aurora, Texas, then a small farming community just outside of Ft. Worth. It was in the early hours of the morning of April 17th, around 6 a.m., according to the "Dallas Morning News," that an explosion was heard, and most likely felt, on Judge Proctor's property.

USOs (Unidentified Submersible Objects)

In the previous chapter, Bonny and I traveled back in time 111 years to Aurora, TX, a place and time untouched by the US Military's long-arm of scrutiny and suppression of information, long before their involvement in UFO crash sites and the subsequent, mystifying purging of any and all hard evidence of such incidents. How revitalizing it is to find such a time of, may I say, innocence in our government's history. What would you say, then, if there was sufficient evidence to suggest that we go back even further in time, even before this officious government existed and the country was "discovered" by the Europeans, some 400 years before? That's right, to the days of Christopher Columbus and the voyage of the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria.

The Apollo 11 Moon Landing, July 20th, 1969

If you’re like most born before the mid-1960’s, you know exactly where you were, what you were doing, and who you were with on July 20th, 1969, as Neil Armstrong made his long anticipated descent down Eagle’s ladder to the moon’s surface and uttered the now famous line, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Even so, there are some skeptics, still to this day, who claim that the event never happened, that it was a NASA (Hollywood) hoax, yet another government conspiracy to show U.S. superiority and win, at all costs, the space-war with the Soviet Union. I remember the whole thing as if it was yesterday; maybe even better than I can remember what I did yesterday; it’s all still very vivid in my mind. But that doesn’t mean necessarily that it happened, does it?

The last chapter, dealing with USOs (Unidentified Submersible Objects), ended with the entirely unexpected discovery, off the shores of Nova Scotia, in 1967, of a race of alien beings that have a base on the far-side of the moon. So I wanted to kill two birds with one stone, as it were, and do a Travel with Bonny to find out if the Apollo 11 mission to the moon actually took place, as history records it, and uncover more details about the obscured moon base.

The Crystal Skulls Mystery

Recently published by “The Associated Press” (AP) was an article by Randolph E. Schmid entitled “The mysteries of crystal skulls unmasked by Smithsonian.” He wasted no time using the credentials of Smithsonian anthropologist Jane MacLaren Walsh (shown below) to classify all crystal skulls, not just the one that mysteriously arrived at the institution 16 years ago, but all as “fakes, made in the 19th and 20th centuries.” And, indeed, the crystal skull that was anonymously mailed to the museum in 1992 (also shown below) purported to be pre-Columbian was scrutinized under a powerful electron scanning microscope and found to be man-made, probably back in the 1950’s or 60’s.

Nazca Lines, Peru

For as long as the northwest coast of Peru has been inhabited by members of the human race, and those same beings have kept an oral or written history of their surroundings, there have been curious accounts passed down from generation to generation of what we now refer to today as the Nazca Lines, named after the Nazca region of Peru where they have existed conceivably for multiple millennia as “obscure” monuments to anonymous architects of perhaps the most mystifying civilization of an unknown time period (see map and satellite image of the area, below).

What has brought these puzzling lines most recently to our attention, and subsequently into this month’s newsletter, was the brief reference made to this geographical area in the very movie that spawned last month’s newsletter, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Do you remember the part? After the motorcycle chase scene, where they end up crashing on the floor of the college library, as Dr. Jones is discussing Ox’s (Dr. Harold Oxley) scribbled-down riddle with his new sidekick, and son that he never knew he had, Mutt, he realizes the puzzle’s answer as he translates aloud the long-since-dead language, “Follow the lines in the earth only gods can read, which lead to Orellana’s cradle, guarded by the living dead.” It’s the Nazca lines, of course!

The Real Roswell

Before we begin visiting many of the notable UFO sites around the world, as is my intention, sites that are commonly referred to as Russia’s Roswell, or Mexico’s Roswell, or Britain’s Roswell, or China’s Roswell, I thought it would be important to do our own due-diligence on the world’s most famous of all UFO crash sites right here in American’s very own state of New Mexico. With the shear infamy of Roswell, it would be near impossible to bring up anything new that hasn’t already been said, written, or reported on, wouldn’t it? Well, that’s what I thought as I began my research, but was I ever wrong. In fact, we discovered so much incredible, never-before reported intelligence that it's just difficult to compile it all.

Should the military be congratulated for finally yielding to the public outcry and offering the total truth in their 1994 “The Roswell Report, Case Closed,” or should we stop wasting our breath and energy on pathological liars who hold themselves above God and the law and find no compulsion in answering to either? Did it happen as the local eye witnesses and the Army first reported, as seen in the “Roswell Daily Record” of July 8th, 1947 (see below), or did the alleged military’s “Project Mogul,” a secret spy balloon covertly tracking Soviet missile tests, crash in the desert spreading mysterious debris for miles in all directions. Which was it, or was it either?! Wouldn’t you like to know what really happened there 61 years ago in the skies over Roswell, New Mexico? Mexico's Roswell

How did one of Mexico’s most infamous UFO crashes end up in the unauthorized hands of the U.S. Military? Would you believe that we simply swooped in, in broad daylight, and took it from them, without even a scuffle? Well, it’s kind of hard to put up a fight when you’re sprawled out on the desert floor, with all of your comrades dead from exposure to some mysterious poisoning!

From a little-known document referred to as the “Deneb Report,” we learn that late in the evening of August 25, 1974, the U.S. military began tracking an unidentified object that suddenly dropped out of earth’s orbit at 75,000 feet, reportedly traveling at 2,500 MPH, in a straight trajectory toward the city of Corpus Christi, Texas. Now, 35 years ago, we were still very much concerned with threats of missile attacks from the Soviet Union and, according to the report, just as the military was scrambling fighter jets to intercept, the object abruptly turned south and flew straight down the Texas/Mexico coastline.

By the time it had changed course again (obviously not a Soviet missile or even a meteor, for that matter), and this time in a northwestern direction into Mexican airspace, it had slowed to a mere 2,000 MPH and had dropped in altitude to 4,500 feet. Within a matter of minutes (remember it’s traveling at three times the speed of sound—a mile/second) the UFO disappeared from radar screens and had crashed just outside the small desert town of Coyame, in the northern part of Mexico’s state of Chihuahua.
